LANECO MAIN OFFICE
Lanao del Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. (LANECO), a non-stock, non-profit and service-oriented electric distribution utility, was registered under the National Electrification Administration (NEA), incorporated on May 27, 1972 and started its operation on January 1, 1973.
Its headquarters site, which was donated by the heirs of Don Rufo Lao Dela Cruz, is located at Sagadan, Poblacion, Tubod, Lanao del Norte. Under the supervision of the National Electrification Administration (NEA), LANECO has its primary objective of effecting total electrification to uplift the lives of the people living in the rural areas. LANECO belongs to Triple A category and is classified as a Mega Large Electric Cooperative serving 18 Municipalities all over the Province of Lanao del Norte.
The whole coverage area is divided into twelve (12) districts and each district is represented by a Board Director through an election by the member-consumers in the said district every three years with a maximum term of office for a period of 9 years. The Board of Directors act as policy-making body of the cooperative. The management is headed by a general manager and the management staff is composed of Engineering, Finance, Institutional and Audit Department Managers. LANECO has six branch offices located in the different areas covered bringing its services closer to the member-consumers.
With the proficient leadership of the management, LANECO established its sister cooperative relationship with Benton Rural Electric Association in Prosser, Washington, USA on December 30, 1992.
